  • ok im on my second year of trumpet and im in jazz band i still cant get all of the notes down yet yur really good keep up the good work and also im trumpet 1 do you think you could play the solo for trumpet 1

  • hey!!! thats really good playing!! I am a trumpet player at my 3rd year, so all you need to do is start tounging!! keep up the good work!

  • Ok. You guys who are worried about playing first or second are truly typical trumpet players- egotistical. As a composer, we write several parts because we want harmony. Without the harmony, my pieces would sound pretty thin- so all parts are equally as important in my book. And if you're playing a fugue- you both have the melody. Don't look at the number on the part. Look at the notes and make music!! Good job kid. Whatever part gets handed to you, play out! It's important!

  • Ok. I'm in a nationaly recognized, Marching, Jazz and concert band. This is easy. but for a 9 year old. He's really good. And it doesn't make a difference between first and 2nd or 3rd part once you get into harder music. My marching band played a spanish theme song written for drum corps. I play second trumpet and i have busted my chops at least a dozen times trying to learn it. And in concert band grade 5 and 6 music. Most trumpet solos are written in the second trumpet part.

  • @amvloon From what I've seen dude 1st are the best.

  • @15Sebastiannn Hey man, I'm not lying. I've played both first and second trumpet for jazz and so have a lot of my trumpet friends. And 2nd trumpet gets more of the solos; now first trumpet definitely plays higher and sometimes first gets the better parts. I don't know why 2nd comes out more in jazz, it just does which admittedly sounds odd because in concert and marching band 2nd is just a lower octave filler and an offbeat counter lol.

  • @amvloon suuure.

  • @15Sebastiannn Getting the higher notes doesn't make it the most difficult. I don't know what you get, maybe because you're in middle school, but I've played Jazz pieces too hun, and 2nd trumpet in jazz tends to get more solos, from what I've seen.

  • @amvloon ,,,how retarded are you... There's a reason they put someone in First Trumpet... It's because it is the HARDEST part to play so they use to BEST players to do so. 2nd Trumpet are the back round players who suck

  • @15Sebastiannn Because all the hard stuff goes to 2nd trumpet
