'Ferry' follows the story of an elderly couple whose holiday plans are quite drastically altered when failing eyesight leads them to accidentally board a military aircraft carrier instead of the ferry. Directed by Outsider's Pedro Romhany, the shoot was based entirely in Thailand and encountered some interesting difficulties when the aircraft carrier they were using was put on red alert due to a skirmish between Thailand and Cambodia. The ad is promoting Specsavers' 25% off for over-60s offer.

At a time when the Royal Navy is being decimated, with 1,000 redundancies announced today, carriers decommissioned and fixed win squadrons mothballed, this Ad falls very flat! SpecSavers should perhaps have gone to a different Ad Agency!!
