I'm the 5000th! Love his music for decades.

Waller wasn't just a great entertainer, he was a consummate musician. One of the great, if not the greatest, stride piano players of all time. His songs are all just wonderfully light and full of humor. He died six months after I want born.
I've been trying to copy his style for years.

He is just too much isn't he?! . . . . . How he makes me smile - (and laugh too for that matter) ~ such a gifted man.
-
Speaking of Mezz Mezzrow, if you can find a copy of his autobiography, "Really the Blues," it's great.
-
@BenedictHUN Don't feel bad, feel privileged that you are one the enlightened few to enjoy his gifts to this world, don't mean to sound hi sadiddy or nuthin, I only wish I could see him perform live!

feeling bad to see there are only 309 views...but feeling good while i'm listening to him :)

Recorded with his "Rhythm" ensemble on September 28, 1934, featuring Herman Autrey on trumpet, Mezz Mezzrow on clarinet, Albert Casey on guitar, Floyd O' Brien on trombone, Billy Taylor on bass, and Harry Dial on drums. Relaxed and swinging!
One of my biggest dreams in my life is that could see him perform live too.
i wish it could be true.he is a legend.
