A Virtual Gallery Tour - Ancient Egypt

This is a virtual tour of the Ancient Egypt gallery at The Walters Art Museum. The museum is currently featuring Mummified, an exhibition based on the findings of a CT scan on performed on the Walters' mummy in the spring of 2008 by the University of Maryland and the Walters Art Museum. The purpose of the scan was to learn more about the age, possible illness, and cause of death of the person held within the beautifully painted outer wrappings. Mummified will run from November 15, 2008 - November 08, 2010 and will feature approximately 20 ancient Egyptian objects depicting images of mummified people, animals, and deities.
