KINGSTON, NEW YORK; A city incorporated in 1652, also was once the capital of the State of New York. As any other city, it has experienced it's share of changes over the last 100 years, and you will see some of those changes here in this video. Also note that I chose The Scorpions " WIND OF CHANGE" for this video, which I find appropriate!

  • Very nice...I love, and have many old photos of Kingston,N.Y..So much history there..

I found your video after I post my video of some of my Old Kingston,NY post cards..

Thank you so much for your work...

  • This was great! I grew up in Kingston and moved to NC when I was 30 so remember a lot of these places. I also went to Brigham (aka number 6) and was so sorry to see it torn down. If genek64 is around, I'd like to know what years he went there. We lived on Bruyn Avenue and those were the days of walking to your neighborhood school, walking home for lunch where my mom would have my soup and sandwich waiting for me. Mrs. Markowitz and Mrs. Raichle were my favorite teachers!

  • Hey, thanks for this! My family left Kingston when I was seven. I still remember some of the shots. My father (David Byrne) and uncles had a monument business next to the railway trestle. i went to GW elementary. Lived on Linderman Avenue. Wish I new more about my past. Hope you do more!

  • This video is amazing! I own a business in Uptown and was so excited to see the video. You do a great job!! Thank you!

  • Many many thanks. That was really outstanding. I've lived in the area my whole life and to see some of the buildings that are no longer here, and the changes in the ones that are, is so interesting.

  • worst city on earth

  • So great...but the music has to go!

  • Ahhhh... Brigham School. It was Number 6 when

I went there. I'm glad to see that everything didn't go the way of the old post office. Can't wait to see more.

  • Excellent, vivid history!
