  • Acha i wasnt sure of Habib Wali Mohammad but i love this version. My grandfather was Sehba Akhtar and i am trying to spread his work across. Thanks

  • Yes its Freeda Khanam who is beautifully singing this Beautifully written ghazal. In this video voice is of Freeda Khanam not Iqbal Banoo. Iqbal Baano might have tried singin it but not in this video.

  • SUNG BY FARIDA KHANUM NOT IQBAL BANO

  • Bano was raised born in India. From a young age, she developed a love for music. When Bano was a teenager she migrated to Pakistan along with her family.

In Delhi, she studied under Ustad Chaand Khan of the Delhi Gharana, an expert in all kinds of pure classical and light classical forms of vocal music. . She was duly initiated Gaandaabandh shagird of her Ustad. Ustad Chaand Khan referred her to All India Radio, Delhi, where she sang on the radio.

  • Not Hindustani but Mughal leinage family. Pakistani's are not Hindustani's.

  • nahi yeh iqbal bano nay bhi gaai hai

  • Ye Farida Khanum hi hain.Itni bari ghalti .....ya tasvir badal den ya aawaz .

  • If you are claiming that Sehba Akhtar was your grandfather and yet you don't know his repertoire, then I guess that makes you the actual 'idiot'. I personally am a great admirer of Sehba Akhtar as a poet but crediting him with something written by someone else is not really fair to him nor to the original writer. His writings hold enough weightage to merit accolades on their own.

  • Love this song!!!!!!!!
