"Luke The Dog" is another complete take from the Keystone recording session that was left off the CD portion of the Keystone disc. Dedicated to Fatty Arbuckle's dog, who starred in a number of films including "Fatty & Mabel Adrift", where some of this music is featured. Here it is shown with the short film, "Fatty's Plucky Pup."

What happened to Fatty was a tragedy and a scandal, he was sacrificed by an entire industry for something that didn't even happen, let alone the thing that he was accused of.

Roscoe was NOT obese!! It was told he was a tower of muscle...overweight yes but not fat. Buster mentioned he hated being called Fatty.
And he could have been with the great 4 silent clowns had it not been for that scandal. Multii-talented & quite dexterous, fortunately he died after signing a contract for more of his films. His tragic death is totally blown out of proportion!!

Roscoe Arbuckle is the most underrated silent comedian. The media destroyed his career and its only this generation that is re discovering his old films.

I visited Dave´s concert with Keystone about year ago in Czech republic, it was one of the best concerts I´ve seen, they all are great musicians.

This music is actually from 2005. I admit, it is a strange juxtaposition, but I think it works. The music is good by itself, but for me it helps make the film seem a little more "real", than would some typical, old-timey piano or something. I think the music compels you to look at the film differently.

I have to agree with you. I really like the music too. Great modern jazz drumming, etc.. but it doesn't fit with Fatty Arbuckle at all, in my opinion. This is the teens. The feel and vibes of the era is not there viewing this, with this style of music.

I keep seeing Pit Bull Terriers in lots of old films and, pictures. There must be something to oft heard the statement that it was once one of the most popular breeds in the country.
