Furthermore, people who abuse it (almost always medical professionals), if they are seeking a euphoria (most just want to be unconscious a bit) then the method of abuse would be using it in short bursts, NOT for insomnia for 6-8 hours. Michael just wanted some sleep!! Most people do not experience this so-called euphoria, either. People also experience euphoria from sniffing candles. Get over it. If it was so potentially addictive it would be scheduled, also.

FYI, the 6-week story is bull. Some witnesses did not even see Murray around until 2 weeks, as if it matters. But, let's get this much straight. Propofol is NOT addictive. It is not like crack, meth or even alcohol. People have abused it but people can abuse ANYTHING. People abuse anything--that does not mean it is physically addictive. For something to be addictive it needs to cause withdrawals and tolerance. Propofol does not. Also, why is a psychiatrist talking about this medication?!

Unfortunately he was. He has been taking it for 6 weeks in a row... he asked for it, cause he took it before. Being addicted is not a sin. He was sick and seeked for help. He couldn't sleep. He sought for a bad way to get better.
