In one week I measured from 4.5 up to 6.9. Is that an odd fluctuation or normal?
Do you use the same pricker on the pen more than once or change it everytime?

Got type 1 like three months ago, im 13 in a couple of days.. I'm using insulin pens, and i'll probably start using pump in ca 6 months, at least so the doctors say :)
I think we should be happy that we live today and not a 100 years ago, then diabetes was like a doom.. Nowadays we have very very good treatment, luckily.

I think you multiply the figure by 18 to convert it.

She pricks the side of her finger and it is a very fine needle and is very quick. Her fingertips get a little bit sore sometimes so she uses Hypercal cream (homeopathic) to help them heal. The devices they used in hospital for pricking fingers were much more vicious!

I'm tweleve too. I think I may have diabetes and my parents are getting me tested in janurary. I have constant urination and I'm VERY thirsty 24/7. Also I seem to be loosing weight. I bought myself a meter to try it and the numbers are high. I'm glad to see your handiling it well!

If there's a possibility that you have diabetes Type I, it seems dangerous to me to be waiting until January, especially if the numbers are high on the meter. Please don't wait. Check it out today! If you have it, you could become very ill if you don't get treatment soon. My daughter was very thirsty, peeing a lot and lost 6kg in a month before I realised something was seriously wrong and thank goodness we got her to hospital before anything terrible happened. Please act now.
