X31-B74-T378-T357-T320 have detached from El Zorro's 9062 loaded grain from Woorinen as they head for the fuel point at Bendigo, and also a look at by fitters. Once clear, POTA train 9072 from Deniliquin with S313-T364-T395 passes by, The last time 2 freights all with VR liveried engines would of been sometime in the 1980's. Tue 17/01/12

  • Last night I went out to check out ELZ grain going up Warenheip bank to Geelong and Pacific National happened to be coming down the grade. It was good, but bugger.. could'nt chase both.

  • @rhondaw1 ELZ didn't go up Warrenheip to Geelong last night, they departed Melbourne at 18 30 for Sea Lake. They should be out of Maryborough in about 30 mins headed for Ballarat.

  • Memories Steve, I live in Perth WA but born & bred in Bendigo , my father was a driver there for many years, it used to be a major precinct with many crews, a magnificent round house and turntable.Fantastic Video..Thankyou

  • @ravenslea1 Pity they have butchered the yard. In the last month they have removed all the sidings to the top of the video, you can see all the points that now go no where.

  • It could easily been the mid to late 70's with out the Vlocity's in the back ground. Anyhow top vid and a classic catch!!!

  • @flip6554 Yea, I was kinda hoping they would keep out of the way. I really wanted the ELZ engines on the train in the yard with POTA going past, but they cut them off pretty quick and sent to the fuel point straight away.

  • Ok thanks, must've been Pacific National then. Since ELZ have started to use a 'G' in the lead I'm finding It is harder to tell in the dark. I can usually only hear them later at night from about 9.30 to around midnight due to the bypass being close by.

  • Great video!

  • @flip6554 replace the vlos with walkers or DERM's and you could be on the money for the 70s. great catch
