If you follow on Google Earth you can see the scar on the marsh islands where they laid the pipe for this many years ago, Bay Park to the concrete block. Last year they dug an additional pipe out to the channel immediately south of the park, but stopped there. Are they dumping in that part of the bay too? Where does LB's outflow go, in the channel, or thru the city to the ocean? Tnx for posting this!!

With the west wind on this particular day, this sluge slick made it all the way to Point Lookout. Keep documenting this problem Scott, each and every time.

This discharge is from the Nassau County Bay Park Treatment Plant. Terrible!

The Green Project of Long Island does not support this illegal dumping of sludge. We have to get the city of long beach more involved on this disaster before this gets worse.

Are those birds around the cement structure?
Yes those are seagulls. When there is a steady flow they come to eat anything that is not processed.
