  • DAMN!!! That opening rhythm riff is sick...Who is that?

  • @willburr The bad ass BOBBY LEE ROGERS!!!

  • I agree that Jimmy is the unending shit, but the cat with the Col. aint no slouch himself.

  • Yea Bobby Lee rogers is the man!

  • The Col. turned Derek onto Ali Akbar Khan and a lot of the Indian classical influences that are readily evident in his playing. I saw Jimmy play with DTB in Athens, GA on 3-31-06 and they blew the roof off. Often times it was difficult to distinguish who was playing lead because Jimmy and Derek sound so much alike. Plus, they have like a Duane/Dickey countermelody thing going on that is unbelievable. They never step onto each others toes...

  • Jimmy is just awesome. Love Derek too.

  • Warning: Anyone listening to Jimmy Herring play guitar (with ANY band) is subject to growing recceptor sites on your soul, which will take you to fantastic hights and embed within you a fire and passion never known before, if you will only stop and open your mind; to the one, and only ...

  • Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Herring .

His album Lifeboat is a musical joy with every contribution from each of the players just beautiful ... especially Kofi .

  • @alanpaulchina - the "other guy" is BOBBY LEE RODGERS

  • @baromisaki - You can find BOBBY LEE RODGERS & THE CODETALKERS in Japan. They released two CDs on a label there.

  • @PepWan - yep thats him

  • @poptarto420 - that songs a staple of bruce's, but if anyone wants to know what The Codetalkers were about, you have to look at Bobby Lee Rodgers cuz he wrote all the original tunes and sang them and played the sheet out of the guitar on them. Also google "Herring, Rodgers, Sipe" - the band played BLR's music and kicked arse!! Neal Fountain on bass tooo

  • @oysteria - that is what the Leslie does to it...they were used as church organ speakers

  • BOBBY LEE RODGERS (last name has a D in it - you'll find more videos that way)

  • Rogers is playing his axe through a Leslie (organ) speaker while playing rhythym. That's where that organ-like tone is coming from. He's nailing it...

  • Jimmy uses Fuchs custom heads and Tone Tubby cabs.
