Moscow to Beijing in 6 days via the trans-manchurian route, truly an unforgettable week. I loved the ride, the view, the people, and especially the Russian ladies selling strange-looking food at all the stops...

  • could you tell me more about siberia?

  • You see Russia change from European style to Asian style as you cross Siberia, in dress, food, personality...

  • Are there electrical outlets on the train?

  • yes, there is one in the room, and there is one at either end of the hallway.

  • The train compartment looks pretty compact for a long journey.

  • no doubt! it was small. but it was fine, we all had a good time and that´s all that matters.

  • Hi! I'll be taking the trans-siberian train from beijing to moscow this coming May!

I can't wait! Thanks so much for your info..gave me an idea of what the train is like.

Do you have any useful tips? Eg. do we need to stock up on food ahead?

Is there a shower in the second class cabin?

Do you get to alight the train for a while when it makes a stop?

    Thanks!

  • Thank you so much for this video, it helped solidify my decision to go. Was there places to buy good food, beer, and vodka along the way? Or would you suggest stocking up ahead of time?
