  • I think the dude did a good job with this instructional. I've watched other shaping videos where the shaper does not explain anything. If you need more instruction, look for a shaper's forum online, you can ask all the questions you have there. Be respectful, you'll get tons of advise. As for measurements, it depends on the style, the location you'll be riding, surfer's preferences, too many variables to list in a quick online instr. video. Give the dude a break, he's trying to help.

    Thanks Abe

  • @hmoogler look at the shape..the lines are off...mega ruts and dings in the foam...this board is a throw away.

i do agree with you on the oil and shit...but its just a (LIGHT) lesson for those who want to get into a home shape....on another note....come on Toke...dont get stoned b4 you give lesson

  • @gazzap63

dude every board is different depending on what you want to do with it you will shape it differently. What do you expect ?

  • Fin placement: "mark position 3 inch, or 4 or whatever"

    Yeah, really useful...

  • Bozos who run their greasy hands up and down on the foam surfaces get a big surprise! Skin oil is an enemy of the glassing job! This guy seems to want to coat the entire backside with skin oil.....some goofy crap here! Don't touch the foam if possible and especially NOT after the entire final sanding BEFORE glassing. Everybody knows that! Bad dog!
