  • I loved how when I was in high school other kids would always make fun of me for listening to Ray Charles and other musicians of his era instead of pop music. Yet, when I'm in my early 20s, the movie "Ray" comes out, and all of a sudden listening to Ray Charles is cool and those same people that were making fun of me for listening to Ray's music when I was in high school are the same ones buying his music. People are such sheep and such hypocrites.

  • It was a pleasure to view this. I had the joy of being a member of the band in 1971 (lead trombonist/arranger). A friend and former band drummer--Billy Moore--turned me on the the gig. I met so many musicians and reunited with several; including Andy Ennis, Tommy Turrentine, Blue Mitchell, James Clay, LeRoy Cooper and Steve Turre, to name a few.......it was a milestone in my life!.........................Sanifu Al Hall Jr

  • Watch. I hide and wait. HE"S DEAD! I STILL hide and wait. Saw him once, curiously enough, it was a little concert at the Cincinnati Zoo. I have that much respect.... Listen just one, two, three songs, you'll see.... Maybe you'll hide and wait, too

  • I don't think Ray Charles could have possibly known how great he was... if he did his head would have exploded!

  • Live version of CARRY ME BACK...VIRGINNY was super.

  • Great Music & Talent! A very nice professional video! Thanks!

  • "a mobile gumbo unit, and it was spicy"
