@weareelectric212 Difficulty comes less from game mechanics and more from the players themselves. What's the point of saying one game is harder than the other?

why do people keep comparing all the games? sure you can compare HoN and DoTA, but LoL is so different; it's like comparing BF to CoD, they are both FPS and have a modern setting but that is where the similaritys end.

LoL and DoTA/HoN are both MOBAs, but that is were the similaritys end.

LoL: Low skill players

HoN: Medium skill players

DotA: High skill players

That's all there is too it. LoL would be harder if the playerbase were more skilled, but it is F2P so expect a wide skill spread

HoN was paid for a good deal, so the majority populous were hardcore fans / hardcore players

You can't even play DotA / Dota 2 unless you went through hell for the first and stalked prey beta keys for the second.

In MOBA, players define the game. Period.

@LividImp Controls like an RTS, and the perks aren't persistent, it's balanced for PvP not PvE, or you could just go play LoL and try for yourself.

I could never get in to DotA, its too elitist, when I was younger and started playing W3 I could never get into because everybody in the game would be uch a dick if you didnt know exactly what you were doin which is a shame because it must be such a good game. I always wish HLW got the same treatment and got a full game though, I fuckin loved it

Every other creator has tried to imprint their name into Dota because it's the only way they can leave an impression on it's legacy. Icefrog let's his actions do the talking, Any Dota fan can vouch for that. I'm not sure the same can be said for LoL, read the comments on any LoL video and you'll see. Balance? Bitch please, that word goes out the window when Guinsoo comes into play.

2. Icefrog made balances/remakes, Guinsoo threw everything into one map, THAT'S IT(Notice "allstars" on all maps Guinsoo created)

3. Guinsoo passed control to a friend named Syllable(Thus, Syllabear's name) Icefrog came afterwards.

4. Introducing retarded items/heroes was Guinsoo's "contribution", a Kelen's which you can use whenever, Sand King ult dealing 1k dmg in under a second.
