Oxfordshire army cadets provide safe, prompt and effective treatment for a wounded casualty.

They quickly stop the bleeding without disturbing the metal pipe which has completely penetrated the limb, and treat shock by elevating the casualty's uninjured leg. They also call 999 for an ambulance, and reassure the patient throughout.

  • Good reassurance to the casualty, but the simulation's kinda fake. Apply some skin make-ups and grease over the dough and more bloods over the surface. Take off the boot to monitor his toe's capillary refill to check his circulation status.

Since hygiene is an essential part in first aid, it's fundamental to not leave the scissors on the ground itself.

Good to elevate his uninjured leg to return blood to the heart. And, the injured leg should be well immobilized in case there's any fracture.
