The Steel Wheels in the studio recording "Red Wing" with special guests Robin and Linda Williams. The new album is set to release in early 2010 so this is a sneak preview for the new effort. "Red Wing" is a traditional song with new lyrics written by Trent Wagler of the Steel Wheels. Stay tuned -- more sneak peeks might be around the bend.
One of those songs that gets better the more you listen to it. The Steel Wheels are priceless.

Wow, I really like this song. Once I've some cash I'll have to buy this cd. Likely in spring after I no longer have to keep the oil in the tank for the furnace. I hope they come up here to Boston sometime to do a show.

@gostate67 He should be a good addition to the family, just keep him away from farm animals.

@settlemk - Maybe not Jay Lapp speaking about HIS grandfather....maybe it was Trent. Still the same story, though!

I saw them perform this song in concert and Jay Lapp talked about his grandfather in Indiana that played this song on the harmonica while he was growing up. I then cried the whole time they performed the song because MY grandfather (who is no longer with us) was from Indiana, played the harmonica and this was his favorite song. So beautiful!
