These are captive bred monkeys. Their mothers were not shot or harmed in any way. The babies were taken away at an appropriate age, so they could bond with people and be hand fed. This is the same thing bird breeders do to make good pets. The mother and father will miss their baby for a little bit, but they will get over it. Breeder monkeys are not tame and if the babies were left with their parents, they wouldn't be tame and couldn't be pets. Again, same thing that happens with hand fed birds!!

How can you assume that's what happened? I must write this same message over and over to people like you. You assume he was yanked away from his mother. You don't know the circumstances, so why assume these are horrible people? He's obviously very loved.
