  • The book didn't really impact "the scientific world" significantly. Rather, it made a big splash in the philosophy of science and inspired philosophers like Lakatos and Feyerabend. It's also one of few philosophy books to be read widely in other fields. That's because it is clear, short, non-technical, and extremely engaging, qualities that are not very common in the philosophical literature. This owes in part to its historical bent.

  • Kuhn is one of the most important philosophers who ever lived.
