Well, dthdc4, you're right about the qualifications for a NATIVE born citizen. Assuming O was born in HI, he is a NATIVE born citizen. However, the Constitution calls for the Pres. to be a NATURAL born citizen, which requires US citizenship by BOTH parents. So NATIVE born? Sure, possibly, maybe even likely (although you gotta wonder why he has spent $1,000,000 to hide his birth certificate). But NATURAL born? Never. He can't be. It's impossible, because his father wasn't a US citizen.

The birth certificate is on his website and it was duly sworn by Hawaii officials. Moreover the birth announcement in the Honolulu newspaper in 1961 also confirms it.

The Constitution states that to be a native born American citizen you have to be born on US territory or state. Obama was born in Hawaii, the 50th state. Whether his father was a British subject does not matter because he was born on US soil and is thus a US citizen by birth.
