One of the most anticipated parade of Mardi Gras season in New Orleans, the Krewe of Muses never fails to deliver. This year's theme, Muses 009 - License To Swill - provided a platform for political satire cultural critique. From the "The Man With The Golden Card" float's swipe (pun intended) at our Mayor's loose interpretation of the proper use of his city credit card to the "Diamonds Are Not Forever" float's spotlight on recent famous, and infamous, celebrity divorces, the floats gave the revelers something to thing about while they were diving for handfuls of the Muse's clever and unique throws. The most famous of the krewe's throws, the shoe, is a coveted price for Mardi Gras goers.

this is probaly the most generosity given parade i have ever been to. i been living in new orleans all my life and this parade is the most fun to go to.lol many argue that andymion is the best but i think this parade is awsome

The parade kicked ASS this year! One of my favorites! I got two Muses spears and I got two Krewe Shoes on Tchopitoulas at the END!!! Couldn't believe there were still some left on those floats LOL

I got my first shoe ever and it was from a girl riding for the first time so it was one of the first shoes she had ever given out! It's going on our Mardi Gras shelf right next to our treasured coconuts. It was a spectacular parade!!

Muses was great this year. Most valuable throws of any parade for sure. I got a shoe and my girlfriend got 2!
