a home made intro i added to my Planet of the Apes where I edited in the second movie using the fade out in #1 to the fade in #2 .

@McLarenMercedes It was also renovated in 1986 (if I remember right) with anti-corrosion protection and, at the time, they said they did a lot of restoration work to help prevent decay that the 1938 restoration help cause.

After the 1938 renovation, they needed to do a major restoration in 1984-1986, at which point it was closed for the public. It had deteriorated too much.
Now imagine there's no humans to restore it, every 100 years or so. I'll give it 100 years tops before it collapses.
It's hollow, and stands on a metal frame, hardly as stable as a pyramid with 2,3 million limestone blocks, wouldn't you say?

The pyramids were built by solid limestone and these erode very slowly. The pyramids is build in a very stable shape and is solid, save for a few chambers inside. The whole shape of a pyramid is ideal for lasting for millenia, hence they were built this shape.
The statue of liberty is made out a metal armature (framework) supporting the structure, covered with copper plates, which is corrosive.
Completed in 1886 it was already renovated in 1938.

The statue would have been in worse shape than was seen but we would have still known what it was even after 2300 years.

True. Besides Planet of the Apes takes place sometimes in the year 4300, and the idea that 2300 years of neglect wouldn't have made the statue disappear long ago is absurd.
However that's just nitpicking and doesn't detract the power of the all time greatest twist ending.

How do you merge 2 movies together i want to know how.

i copied both movies, then used the fade to black at the end of the first one, then merged it with the fade from black opening in the second movie when you first see brentts crashed shipe.
