Same progression as a few of my other vids, but changing up the rhythm with lots of left hand slap mixed with double muted slaps

  • Great playing! Also, I'm either gonna get a MusicMan Stingray, or a Custom P-Bass as my next bass. I own a J-Bass, and i'm wondering what each of the 4 knobs do.

Left to right (as viewed here)

    *Mid-Adustment

**Double knob-outerone adjusts treble, inner adjusts bass

*** Pick up balance between split coil and humbucker

    **** Master Volume

  • Is it VERY VERY heavy?

  • The bass guitar? Not really, definitely not the heaviest I've played or owned.

  • i cant figure that technique out.. yet

  • Im not particularly good at it myself to be honest. How I started practicing it was

1)muting with the just index finger across all the strings

    2)slap

3)put ring and middle finger down hard to get a thump.

    4)then a pop, also muted.

after that start experimenting with un muting the slap and pop, then start moving it around, Im still at the moving it around part haha.

    Good luck friend!

  • ...TEACH ME, MASTER.

  • awesome playing !

  • Musicman's are known for their "fat" sound from having 1 or even 2 humbucking pickups while Fender basses usually only use single coil. You can get an HS Musicman (humbucker single) and get close to a Fender Jazz or P bass but why do that when you have a Musicman? ;)

  • with a bass like that you can make a sound like the music man's one using only the bridge p.u.?

  • Bello bellO!!! +
