Unless you listen to Nat-chan's song, "Only Lonely", you probably won't understand why Daisuke is singing this.

@CourageousFighter I don't disbelieve you, you're probably right. I'm only saying I think it's CUTE to think of it as a song for his best friend Ken. It fits him very well too.

@threedevilshared Ken doesn't have to be IN the drama CD for it to have been ABOUT him. I'm not claiming that I know either way; I don't. I just find the idea of it being for Ken the sweetest.

It's the first time I heard Daisuke sang so beautifully and on pitch, compared to his other image songs. We all know he's tone-deaf in the drama cd Michi e no Armor Shinka.
I guess the power of love can make Daisuke so romantic and emotional. And this Jim Steinmmann-sque love sentimental music really fits the lyrics.

As much as I would like to ship Daikari, I'm going objective on this one.
It's a song about sorrow and partnership. To match the themes of the Drama CD. It's not particularly aimed at any one character.
He's singing about his own troubles which parallel Nat-chan's troubles. All the references to another person and being there are about his own self worth rather than having someone see his love.

I agree with those who think that it's for Ken. When I look at the words and really compare them all to Ken, Hikari and Naa... Ken seems to fit everything. There are parts that could fit Hikari and Naa, but not ALL of them. However, Ken does fit every line and so that's why my vote is on that, especially during the time when Ken just went good and Daisuke was trying so hard to get Ken to be his friend.

I never thought of this like a love song, the lyrics fit the situation Ken goes through when he turns good but nobody trusts him but Daisuke. I think it's a friendship song.

Hikari should be touched if she hears this song! That way Daisuke finally got some chance to get her you know! It's too bad he didn't sing it to her, it would be so touching!
