Gimp: Hair & eye colour [tutorial]

Thanks so much (^_^).

If you mess up like lets say you accidentally got the color on the skin.
how would you get rid of tht??
i tried the eraser, but it makes a white mark.

What I do is, before I even start, I duplicate the layer I'm working on, and work on the duplicate. (Make sure you add an alpha channel first -- Layer, Transparency, Add Alpha Channel). Then if I make a mistake, when I erase it, it should just erase to the layer beneath, not to the white.
(So if you get colour on the skin, you can erase it and there won't be white marks~)

for the eyes..all you have to do is,just get the paintbrush..lower the opacity...then pick the color you want.then re-color it...but Its my way..great vid.:)
