@zapwatt I rev my 96"er past 3K regularly! My son's 88" evo bounces off the rev limiter, at 5500, all the time. You just haven't been listening ....

That's the first time in my life that I have ever heard a Harley engine rev past 3000 RPM

Ha! thats not gonna happen. well. There is a few Harley' that can. But.. They arent exactly Harley's anymore. lol 10-4 on the not bashing. But.. like I said.. Two diffrent worlds. But I agree. You know. Its nice to make a Harley go as fast as you can make it. But just not made for racing. The power band is soooo diffrent. :) And it just cant rev like the 4 bangers. seeya!

no one is bashing anything, i ride a v twin, all im saying is im sick of stupid people who have never even riden a motorcycle watching this video and saying how a harley with this or that could beat a busa or zx14 or whatever, not going to happen no matter how much you wish it will. and if you want to argue do it with a video not your words, lets see your fast harley beat a stock hyabusa on the 1/4 mile strip

if you buy a kawasaki ZX10 for as much as a stock 883 you will have 180hp.
-
no there arent
-
what isnt stock about a hayabusa if you go and buy it new? they make it that way from the factory so its stock, buells are nice bikes but they are not as fast as a busa why argue go race a busa and you will see!
-
yur crazy go check your record book. harley is fastest at bonniville and in the quarter. not stock ofcource, but what is "stock" about a hyabusa? check your rear view, looks like a buell comming up fast behind you.

Get one thing strait on here. Harleys are built for cruising. Sport bikes are made for racing. so when someone makes a Harley fast... Thats just cool as hell! Two diffrent worlds. So go bash a bike thats in the same class. Thats like me bashing 4 cylinder cars over V8s. Its cool as hell to make a 4 cylinder Very fast. But they will never beet what can be done to a V8. But yet so many kids today love the 4 cylinder cars. Whatever! Dont bash what you dont understand!
My 1995 FXDS has the rev limiter set to 7500. It'll hit that with no problem. Top speed I've attained was 137 mph, according to my GPS. I've done a lot of head work and other mods, including a 2-1 exhaust. On the dyno: 98 HP/113 ft lbs of torque. All this from an 80 incher. Ya just have to know how to build an engine and tune it. I've been building H-Ds for almost 30 years and can squeeze out every bit of power it can make. It's fun pulling away from new Stage 2 Twincams with an Evo!
