  • King Kong was ight as an action movie, but they did a bad number on godzilla that, the Japs took it back and called our godzilla somethin else lamo.

Second Scarface, orginal or remake was a classic,

Last: they should never even think of remaking star wars. Or godfather for dat matter.

  • He's right about how they used to make a dozen sequels to movies if they wanted to keep it going. Now in the last 10 years if the movie 'sucked' or don't make a lot of money, it's automatically a remake/reboot. I mean, at least with Saw, and Scary Movie franchise they kept going, I'm sure they'll be remade one day, but at least they didn't just do a remake two years after the first one came out.

  • i think remakes are excuses for directors who have no ideas on what to make so they remake films. movies were better before they were original and cool some remakes are good most are horrible .

  • [2]cont. i agree with what you said about people in the future will remember the person in the remake, rather than in orig. thats what i thought too. its ashame really. whats the point in remakes. when allot of them are the same as the orig. ones, like Psycho.that was shot by shot the same. blah, rant is over. great video!

  • [1]i hate movie remakes. ive just heard that theyre doing Fright Night? damn. i can see them doing Stand By Me and The Outsiders next.

theres no creativity left in Hollywood. not to mention, the new 'actors' cant really act. i read on a few sites that theyre remaking Dirty Harry?

now that is one of my fave movies of all time and its rumourd Johnny Depp or Leonardo Dicapreo will be playing Harry? WTH?!!

no one but Clint can do that!

  • @Airjet2582 Dont be surprise if Hollywood plans to remake Jaws,The Godfather Trilogy,Alien,Back To The Future Trilogy(rumors that Zack Efron will play Marty McFly),Poltergeist,Lethal Weapon,Conan,Grease etc.

  • Remakes have been pretty common place for years now, the issue is that now we have the technology to make the experience one step farther. I can't wait till Clash of the Titans comes out because I remember it from my childhood and remember wishing that that stupid metal bird would get melted into jewelry and guess what...no stupid metal bird. Now all we need is the Never Ending story remake (though technically with a title like that it shouldn't need a remake)

  • Hollywood has done remakes since the beginning of cinema. Just look at how many times Mutiny on the Bounty, Dracula, or A Christmas Carol (which has like 60 different adaptations) has been remade. King Kong was remade 3 times and they all were good. People have been retelling stories in different ways since the beginning of time. There's nothing wrong with remakes. Stop complaining about them, people.

  • No offence but It's a movie, not your childhood. If a remake of a movie from your youth is enough to shatter your world, then there probably wasn't much of a world for you in the first place. You people act like movies were only remade in the last 20 years. Most of what you've come to like has already been shown. What you consider a "classic" is usually just the latest interpretation of the same story.
