This collapsible steel baton is made by ASP - Armament Systems and Procedures - it is made of heat treated 4140 high carbon steel with chrome plating and a Vinyl covered handle. Actual length is 25.5 inches, weight is about 1.5 pounds. Retails for $90-$100. These are not allowed in most parts of Europe.

I chose this baton because ASP has a good reputation on Law Enforcement forums and I wanted a steel instead of aluminum model.

ASP's Channel is located here: http://www.youtube.com/user/aspusa1

NOTE: This is a re-upload, I had to re-edit this when people started crying about demonstrating strikes to the head. So, for the record, never strike anyone in the head. (Unless they give you no other choice.)

  • do you know where i can buuy it? thanks

  • @mousehead - KnifecountryUSA online site sells ASP batons.

  • I have one. The problem is. I live in California. Where they are illegal. Most companies won't even ship there unless you are Law Enforcement. I found a "sleazy" company that would. So it's only in my house. Which is a shame. I'm not a trouble maker. But it would be nice to carry on me just in case.

  • @jpd782 - Thanks God for sleazy companies. I've heard there are a lot of areas in Cali where this would be very useful too !

  • just some advice, don't hope it opens when you strike open it then ready yourself to strike because if it doesn't open on your strike your a bit screwed because you then have to open it before being able to block anything with it so open it before you try striking :)

  • @may1ify - Thanks. They're still dead, for they have unleashed the rage. lol

  • Nice vid good info thanks.

  • I WOULD FEEL LIKE A JEDI WITH ONE OF THESE HEHEHE WHERE CAN I GET ONE?? :DDD

  • @eROCtele Not illegal, unless your a felon. Or you use it in a crime.

  • @jpd782 Which company was it you got it from? I really want one but they will not ship to my area. Thanks.

  • I had an el cheapo baton when I worked security as a "just incase" piece of gear. My girlfriend whacked it on the floor a few times and it bent it just enough that it wouldn't collapse. :/ I'm a CO now and I will only buy an ASP and nothing less. Also, the question about the 25.5" vs the 26" may have something to do with the finish on the baton. After you deploy it enough times and it's well broken in and rubs a bit of the factory finish away, you'll find that extra .5". Take care. ;)

  • Personally I prefer the 21" because it allows me to strike my attacker faster and more times than I could with the 26". It's all about what you're more comfortable carrying I guess :)

  • There's a big difference between an authentic ASP and those cheap knock offs. I had a cheap knock off once in the price range some are stating and the last section eventually flew right off when flicking it open one time. I then got an ASP and realized the difference in quality and why they cost what they do.

  • there is a smith and wesson baton I want to buy off Amazon. Is it legal to order one to Minnesota?

I will not be carrying it, it will be for home protection.
