Wall Street bonuses are rumored to be twice as high this
year as they were last year, even though the financial crisis
continues. Heather Lowe of Global Financial Integrity says that these compensation packages are an indication that despite the recession, banking culture hasn't changed.

  • I think if enough people become homeless and bring their guns with them, there will be a few less bankers in this world when paths cross.

    "The Sheeples Choice!"

    Baaaa!

  • No, RT.

The banks that haven't paid back their capital injections (TARP) - BoA, Citibank, Wells Fargo - they're stuck under the Pay Czar - they're defacto nationalized - so no bonuses for them, just peanuts.

The banks that paid back their TARP funds - Goldman Sachs, JPMorganChase, Morgan Stanley - they're back in the Free Market - and they can pay their employees what they want to.

  • Dina always does a good job for RT.

  • You give the same major banks that were a primary cause for the crash in the first place LOTS and lots of money, and then you expect them to behave better.

Why didn't they let them go out of business? Now the smaller banks that did do things right are being forced out due ot the massive subsidies from the giants (who are even bigger now)

The government should stop all aid for those banks and require them to pay their toxic assets.

If they drown the world won't be worse off.

  • i canceled my BofA account.

i got my credit card from a union bank instead. my rate is still 11 percent.

  • hahahaaaaa.

when americans don't have anything to eat they will go after the fat banksters.

  • it's called size acceptance movement, btw.

  • that is a good Idea

  • I could make a porfit if some one gave me a shit load of money this is a crime
