Chartered Trips is a juggernaut, man. What a shard of fuckin' noise that takes me back to eating hoagies on Lindale and Lake, skinny dipping in Cedar Lake until the cops showed up. Thanks, Bob.
Too bad that's so short. Bob is really hitting an intense high in a song that means so much about hot Minneapolis summers to all of us. This is kinda in the Youth Anthem category, dangit.
To tell you the truth, as much as I idolize Bob Mould, I kind of lost interest in his newer output when he started doing house music as LoudBomb, and didn't really start paying attention again until the Bob Mould Band since I'm also a huge fan of Fugazi. I'll buy his new solo record, though.
Bob tours both as a solo act and with a band. There's talk of the full band (w/Canty) hitting the road early next year. He played this show almost entirely on his acoustic and then pulled out the electric at the end.
But if you're curious about what he's doing now you could probably check his website. Just sayin....
@kc7fys didn't this invent the youth anthem though?
