Band Test #2

Same thing (recording video through Fuji Z10 and audio thru Zoom H1) as Band Test #1 video...only with the H1 about 10-15 feet farther back from the stage and with the input level down to around 35. It's more on the edge of the FOH Main speakers instead of behind them, so vocals should be heard a little better.

You can't see it, but all our kids (about 8 or 9) are playing in the gym, throwing balls around etc. A common occurence at our Worship Team practices. So, the fact that X-Y mics are picking up the audio without all that extra noise (you can hear the kids at the end) is an interesting part of the test.

Also note that the audio gets compressed when publishing in Windows Movie Maker...and then compressed again when uploading to Zoom...the original WAV files have more definition then you can hear on YouTube.

I think it sounds decent with headphones on...but the guitars are pretty much non existent in both recordings. Will have to figure out what to do about that.

Thanks, it's a handy little recorder. Since making this video I've picked up an HD Flip (even though they now are no longer making them). I think the sound is of great quality on the flip too. Will post a video of something using the flip soon.

Great use of the H1. The only worship on youtube recorded by the H1 probably!!
