"I don't want it to end" Must feel pretty nice after the Southern Tier in the dead of winter! We lived in Maryland for 7 years and never made that trip.

@bikehermit1 Jim, the C&O is a hoot... I am absolutely sure you will love to tour here. I'm surprised at the number of people who are touring at this time of year. I guess I met 25 people, and the bike shops I visited all told me that summer, many of the hiker/biker campsites are packed. (which sorta reminds me of the Oregon coast, where at one State Park (Beverly Beach) I camped with 32 other bicyclists. Truth be told... I was sorry to get to Cumberland. I'm now on the GAP and loving it
