I'm an English teacher in Brazil. My Brazilian students have difficulty pronouncing the TH sounds because we don't have these sounds in Portuguese.

I posted this video to show them that native speakers of English stick their tongues out when they pronounce the TH sounds - my students have a hard time believing me when I tell them.

@brentianbloom Thanks for you comment, even though you called me an idiot. I suggest you read the description that goes with that video. Non-native speakers of English have a hard time pronouncing the th sound, because it doesn't exist in other languages.

As a teacher of English in Brazil, I uploaded this and other videos to show the correct way to pronounce the th sound. I never said she was doing it wrong. On the contrary!

@miouth150 With enough practice, everyone can learn. English speakers have problems pronouncing the "ão" sound that we use in Portuguese. This doesn't mean that they're stupid, either.

@miouth150 @miouth150 Hi. The French are not stupid. They can't pronounce this sound because it doesn't exist in their language. They pronounce something that is similar for them. Brazilians usually pronounce this sound as F (instead of think they say fink) or D (instead of they, they say day). That's why it's important to teach the correct pronunciation. More than that, teachers have to show students how to move their mouths and tongues to produce the right sound.
