is there a difference between islam and islamism? the more ive been looking into this issue, the more ive become convinced that there isnt. one either "buys" the "whole story" or one doesnt. even in the quran we read that following muhammads example is equaled to following allah (see e.g. 4:80). and indeed, those who dont (follow muhammad and allah), those refuse to enter paradise, as we learn in sahih bukhari, vol. 9, book 92, number 384.

I don't understand how anyone who is a Muslim and believes the Koran came from a 'God' can possibly be moderate. If you accept the Koran then you must accept its misogyny, Anti Semitism, rape, looting murder warmongering, slavery and child marriage. Its all in there. I agree with you completely Pikey.
Of course in reality its riddled with mistakes repetitive and abrogated. Seems Mr. God and his book isn't that perfect, unless you are a believer. Back to square one. Islam is banal
