Rich, was the very first shot of this video (the cool brick building and swirling clouds) captured with a dslr camera in stop-motion mode or was the eerie effect just something that was done in post? Thanks.

no - the church exterior was shot as a still with a digital slr

against a clear sky

i created a matte in photoshop to take out the sky

then composited in a shot of the sky which i sped up

then i treated the shot to give it an old timey lo-fi look
