  • can cork floor be repaired if only the polyurathe is stained, by heat, without redoing the whole floor?

  • @catisaification yes it can. For complete instructions go look at the Consult feature in the Store at my AsktheBuilder website.

  • Hi, can I put cork tile right over my old bathroom tile, or do I need to pull it up first?

  • @SuperJoeitall What do the written instructions that come with it say to do????

  • @AsktheBuilder None of the home centers here sell it, and if they do it's special order...so I waanted to know before I ordered. The people at HD and Lowes generally don't know jack! From what I've seen on youtube, the "floating floor" can, but the glued tile type needs to go over wood or concrete.

  • @SuperJoeitall Then you go get the written instructions from the manufacturer. It's that simple. Go online and find out who makes the flooring, who distributes it, etc. At my AsktheBuilder website, the dot com one, I have a giant list of Cork Flooring manufacturers. Always always go to my website and use my search engine when you have questions. Read all my columns, watch my videos. The answers are there.

  • @billyg555 When you called the cork flooring manufacturers, what did they tell you?

  • Can this be used in a utility room around hot water heater, forced air burner and under washer / dryer?

  • @pmgodfrey Don't slide furniture across the floor. Use the rubber pads under heavy furniture. Pets are not an issue as cork, sealed with urethane, cleans easily.

  • I absolutely love the flooring, but I'm hesitant to install this in my home because we do move furniture around from time to time. I'm concerned about scratching it or creating large dimples from heavy objects...and I have pets.
