would've made a lot more sense to have a linux distro with multi-platform support - mac, pc etc + openoffice, browsers etc. on it? that way you can boot on anything
one critical fact you forget to mention is the importance of password protecting such a neat little device. I would hate to loose such a device with all kinds of confidential customer information etc. with no encryption.
and a plan for taking backup of changes fast&easy from the usb-key to eg. your primary laptop or ext. harddrive.
