R-Type Final Stage F-C - B-3C2 "Sexy Dynamite II" (PS2)

I'll be doing a score attack mode playthrough of each level and try to show off ships and weapons which haven't often been seen in videos before. Stage F-C is the very last level of the game, and it's ruthless: no lives, no continues, and very long. It's just shoot'em up mania from begin to finish, with no real boss to face, lots of little critters in your way though. Since it's the hardest stage, I pick one of the best ships to tackle such with: B-3C2 "Sexy Dynamite II". Its pink slimy wave cannon is quite powerful, but its major power is in the tentacled Force that, when detached, homes in on enemies while you keep shooting, dealing stupid amounts of damage. This concludes my R-Type Final playthrough!

P.S. noticed a little sound desync towards the end, sorry!

How do you get it to run so smothly on PCSX2. I have absolutly brutal slowdowns.

@matteste With latest PCSX2, I get about full framerate on most games (though R-Type Final is particularly rough to emulate) when I'm not recording video; that causes more slowdown, but the good thing about the avi+wav generated is that they're sped up to full speed. Just splice them together and you've got a smooth video.

@justen5506 Thanks! I had to save one of the best ships for this level, since I can't even hope to beat it with most. Incidentally, F-C is the only level where my emulator was able to pull about 100% frame rate while recording, so there wasn't any slowdown advantage either.

Well i wonder what the Strong Wave Cannon, The Great Wave Cannon, The Special Wave Cannon,The Devil Wave Cannon, and the Bydo Wave Cannon do to the Jelly.

On top of the stupid amounts of damage, the Dose charges faster with this Force than any other. That's why I love this Force.
