"My name is Steve Mroczkiewicz. I have 6 kids, 5 of which are still in the Attica, IN school corporation system. Ive been concerned about how AGWT has been presented in our little school for some time, but it started coming to a head in the spring of 2009 when a group of teachers orchestrated [...]" To find out how to bring balance back into the classrooms, visit www.balanced-ed.org and www.noteviljustwrong.com

  • Excellent. Wasn't that Gore-flick banned in english schools due to the misinformation and factual inaccuracies? I remember hearing about a court case.

  • Great post. Thank you.

  • Good thing he drives a diesel, smash all the little priuses!

  • @zooland12 - Your right in that business and government are too tied together. Crony capitalism is NOT capitalism. It's a symptom of big government, it lets business keep new competitors out. Government gets power by "giving" things to all sorts of people, rich and poor.

Competition is a good thing. It forces people to do things better and more efficiently.

Exploitation sounds bad. Using resources to help people would be more accurate. That's a good thing.

  • @zooland12 - When did I say that government was not too involved with business. That's the opposite of what I'm saying. It's already FAR, FAR too involved. But environmentalists don't want less interaction, they want MORE.

And competition is a good thing. That's what governments help them limit. Licensing and regulation benefit existing business, while keeping new competition out. The solution is to shrink and limit government's power to interfere. Not too increase the size of the leviathan.

  • @mpc91 Believeing that economics is not completely in bed with government is simply blind. Mussolini's original recipe for facism was to allow business and government to intermingle. The fact is we have an economic system based on exploitation, unsustainable resourse destruction, and cut-throat competition- and our political "leaders" gain power and control by kneeling down to corporate interests, interests that serve only the wealthy and industrialized. Interests that are murdering the Earth.

  • @zooland12 - Yes, capitalism is a good thing. Freedom to make voluntary trades is a good thing. All the "evils" you mention are not caused by capitalism, but by governments.

    AGW is questionable at best.

So fuck you and your totalitarianism, camouflaged as kindness. You are the one who wants to control people. You are the one who is condemning people to poverty. I will certainly NOT stand out of the way as you mentally masturbate yourself into thinking you are helping anyone but your own ego.

  • Capitalism is a good thing? infinite growth on a finite planet a good thing? 200 species extinct a day a good thing? infantilization of adults a good thing? corruption of children a good thing? inestimable exploitation a good thing? destroying the only home we will ever have a good thing? I don't deny reality, sir, I submit myself into the abyss of it. Anthropogenic climate change is a fact; it is reality. So get the fuck out of the way while I aid in dismantling your fantasy cosmology.

  • @zooland12 - There is a difference between protecting the environment, and forcing Inconvenient Truth (better title A Convenient Lie) on children.

Capitalism is a very good thing, one of the greatest things that mankind ever came up with. It has led to more freedom and greater prosperity for all nations that have truly embraced it.

But you disagree, because you deny reality. Funny how that works out. Because you know what reality is better than the rest of us. How arrogant is the left?

  • Yes, let's applause the pseudo-heroism of a guy who denies reality. This film is capitalist propaganda. Cheers to Indiana schools that are attempting to educate children about protecting the environment!
