20090614 overtaking lots of cars on a bike.

Along the A233/A21, I overtake almost 200 cars. This is when I'm glad I'm on my bike and not driving my car. Extremely satisfying!!!

Hey Mike :) I get that satisfaction when cycling & overtaking traffic as well, I'm just wondering if it's really legal for us to cycle on the hashed portion between the lanes?..

@longtalker In this case, no problems as they are surrounded by broken lines. Solid lines, or chevrons rather than hatchings, then it would be quite different.

@pimpjuice8921573 I seem to recall the bus lane isn't operational on Sundays, and since they're queuing for a car show, I think they held left to allow other traffic past.

I don't get it. Why are they in that lane? Why don't they get in the lane you're in? These damn Euro roads.

@2e0hvz LOL! I don't think it's operational on Sundays. btw, I live in fear of driving in that lane. I'm always riding my bike through it, and a couple of times I've nearly gone in it in my car before I remember cars aren't allowed on weekdays.
