Before you can send your video to YouTube, you have to transfer it from your camera to your computer. How you do that will depend on your camera.

My entry for the second round of YouTube help videos.

  • If anyone can take the time to read this and help me I would appreciate it.>>>>Ok so my problem is that I'm trying to Transfer videos to my Editing software " MAGIX Movie Edit Pro Plus" with a fire wire. >>SO I try but it keeps saying "Could Not Connect to Selected Device" (Yes it is connected) I tryd this the this with 2 Different cameras; One cassette and the other Mini dv... But no matter what it doesn't connect directly to my editing software????? HELP :S

  • @bloodykorn88 Did you switch the camera on to "Play"?

  • so is it better to use cameras with the first 3 option you said? cos the fourth one spend much time in rendering or transfering to a computer? but is the quality of the 3 options are also better. cos i think hdv is better in quality. please reply

  • @angelito2351 HDV takes a long time to transfer, which can be a disadvantage if you're in a hurry. But you can also watch the video as it transfers, so you can review it, and that can be an advantage.

  • you spelled flkin video wrong at the begining stpid and.. THAT thaught me nothing try with ipod touches next time

  • @1092spongebob Well, you spelled "fucking", "beginning", "stupid" and "taught" wrong, not to mention the complete abandonment of any pretence at punctuation, so you might want to think twice before complaining about other people's spelling in future.

  • thank you

  • Could you help me with something? The camera I am using would be the 4th. Canon. I have a cable to connect it from the camera to the computer (Firewire USB converter. Firewire cable to connect firewire camcorder to a USB port). When I plug the camera in, I get an "unrecognized device" error message.

  • thanks for the help

    but thanks anyway

  • omg... i hate gay tutorials, is it SO hard just to get RIGHT to the point??? FUCKIN' DEAL WITH IT AND PUT IN A SLIDE SHOW WITH STEPS... ~~~>B ( you only make ppl feel like babies.

  • thanks

  • @sandiegoskatecrew it should have the 4-6 port if its a newer version, mines about 12 months old (not far from yours) and mine has a firewire port. if not your going to have to take apart your computer and install it.

  • @1092spongebob BTW Your not intelligent to know that this video was posted late 2008 not 2011

  • @1092spongebob The reason why it was cameras is because the new ipod touch was not created make sure to spell correctly why did you come here? Exactly so you could troll
