After the cleaning was done, put my bike in the shed for the winter...I filled up the tank and put 5oz of SeaFoam in there, also put 6oz in my crankcase (I changed the oil about 500 miles ago and I don't feel like changing it again hopefully I don't ruin my bike!). I propped the bike up so the wheels are off the ground. I also took the battery out and put it inside my house. I didn't drain the carbs, or do anything else...will this be an issue? Oh tomorrow I will put a breathable cloth covering my exhaust and my air filter. Any tips will help! thanks!

  • Here's a tip drain the tank saves effort keep the bike off it's wheels also saves effort and did you say 20 degrees is cold ? that's like the best weather Ireland gets we often have 4/5 degree average with a shit load of wind and rain to top it off :P

  • @christophergowing well i don't like to drain the tank cuz if there is any remaining liquids and they freeze, they can cause rust...no?...and 20F, no 20C...and yes, 20F is cold to me lol, where in Ireland are you?

  • @bmastamoneycash I see what ya mean bout the tank and when I said 20 degrees I meant celcious :P if you could elaborate on what ya meant or word it differently I'm from Dublin what about yourself ? and appologies if I sounded like I was starting a fight anyways safe riding :)

  • @christophergowing hey man, no worries! I am now confused, I just fill the tank all the way up and put fuel stabilizer in there to keep it from freezing so the water doesn't evaporate and rust the inside of the tank. My Mother is from Mayo (born in Dublin) and my Dad's family is from Cork...very cool man!

  • i dont want to put seafoam in my bike to dilute the motor oil

but i do use the kind of oil that contains cleaning agent

  • @LigerZero1985 yeah but I don't use the bike with seafoam in it, I change the oil in the spring before I use it and usually flush a quart. but sweet!

  • I washed it off with the same soap that is used to wash your car, then I dried it and waxed it with turtle wax, also for a car...worked great but don't wax your seat haha it looks great but I almost flew off when I hit the gas tryin to pull my last wheelie of the season last year.
