@gooduH786 It's the Hindu religion. They believe that it helps the soul escape the human body.

People go to Varanasi to die generally, so you will see loads of these sites. I think what he showed us was the liberty that god has given us. I am a proud Hindu. I want you to show me where it says you cannot film and broadcast. There is no such line in any of the vedas.

Thats a Man.
Red=Woman
Gold=Man
This is really disrespectful, you KNOW you aren't supposed to film something that sacred. If anyone in Varanasi knew what you did by filming and broadcasting this they would break your camera. You KNOW you did something wrong. Learn some respect for other peoples cultures before embarking on a 2 day trip to a place you know nothing about.
In India there is no word for dead, you chud. That is someones family member! You would have to be living in your own world to think that was acceptable.

Please note that I did not purposely film this; I was filming the street outside my guesthouse when suddenly they passed by. This is something that you see every few minutes in varanasi. I have the utmost respect for he indian culture, which is why i didnt film the burning ceremonies in Varanasi. I was just sharing this art of the indian culture with the rest of the world, since most ppl never learn anything about it. Im sorry if that offended you.
