Is there a tutorial on how to use the masks to achieve this effect in Zbrush? And in comparison to Zbrush, what would you say the learning curve is like vs each one.

this takes about 5 seconds with masks in zbrush. Not that i'm a fanboy, i have both programs.

@raterito twas all part of my ignorance at the time :) it is the best as far as I'm concerned. With each release it just gets better.
