Something like a scrunched up ball of paper can actually be a challenge to realistically create in 3D -due to the complexity of the required folds and crumples. This is a technique I found to work very well and i also briefly go over an easy option to animate it rolling along.

  • glad to hear it helped out

  • Hi there RobMonk - good to hear you find it useful.

A simple way to reverse would be to invert/reverse the pointcache.

If you point cache the mesh and then set the range on the cache modifer to custom - you can simply specify (for example) frame 100 to begin with and end on frame 0.

This can just look like things backwards and rather linear though - so you could open up the pointcache framerange in the Trackview and manaully add some keys/tweak the curves on them to create some tension/delay

  • cool. glad you enjoyed it. so post any paper related stuff you try out. - matt
