Hi there RobMonk - good to hear you find it useful.
A simple way to reverse would be to invert/reverse the pointcache.
If you point cache the mesh and then set the range on the cache modifer to custom - you can simply specify (for example) frame 100 to begin with and end on frame 0.
This can just look like things backwards and rather linear though - so you could open up the pointcache framerange in the Trackview and manaully add some keys/tweak the curves on them to create some tension/delay
