Yes, I am aware that this review was made around 7 months ago, but due to the NintenTV Major Wipeout incident (where I accidentally deleted 15 NintenTV videos), it and 12 other reviews must be remade.

The reason for the sound quality change in sections GRAPHICS and onward is better is because the ones before were recorded with my old mic, which broke, and then I used my new mic.

I have never seen a Mario Kart game that has a free run mode.

@MultiRachel16 Then you clearly haven't played Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario Kart DS or Mario Kart Wii.

I think it is the best Mario Kart. Sure it's really different, but I loved the engine, I loved the two people in one kart idea, not for having multiple items but the strategy used that wasn't used in the original games.

This is my favorite Mario Kart game for three main reasons... 1. The two people in a kart is cool, but what makes this so fun is playing with a friend and kicking some ass together... 2. The battle mode in this game is by far the best!! bomb omb blast is awesome!! 3. The controls are really tight and the items range but are usually fair and overall the game isn't as cheap as the others so if you loose a race, its probably your fault..

Best MK ever made. Then comes MKDS. MKDD: new gameplay and graphics, MKDS: 4 additional cups and online ! MK Wii was ok I guess. MK7 is okay too... but because it's IDENTICAL to MK Wii: the menus, the music, EVERYTHING ! I really hope the next one will bring back MKDD's two characters/kart, MK Wii's 12 kart/race and add Diddy Kong Racing's unique air & water gameplay ! 'Cause let's be honest: MK Wii's motorcycles and MK7's deltaplanes & submarines didn't do ANYTHING towards gameplay... AT ALL !!
