An on-board camera view of Alan Bond's pusher tug trying, not very successfully, to follow Tony Crollie's 1898 vintage torpedo boat. As there is no live feedback from the camera, it was all about trying to point the tug in the general direction of the target - hence the terrible framing.
Equally, care was needed not to get too close as the huge wake of the springer at speed (one member described it as having the hydro-dynamics of a filing cabinet) could easily swamp the tiny torpedo boat.
Hi Mac - I'm a big fan of your Springers! The pond is called Setley Pond, in the New Forest, Hampshire - about midway between Bournemouth & Southampton. Best wishes, Alan
