Weather you beleive in ancient astronaughts or whatever may be your view, your views are extreme and based on belief just as much as the man who believes in God and his son. To be in any kind of work involveing complex theory one must have an open mind to outside thoughts. I would like to say that the extreme passion that both sides of this argument have, do not and cannot sway the others beliefs. Now weather you believe in God, and Jesus doesn't really matter in this arguement. But if you are going to say that you believe in aliens flying in spacecraft and doing extremely strange things then shouldn't you give the next man some respect for believeing in a devine creator? If you choose not to believe that is entirely up to you, on both sides.

The reason is that people on some level refuse to allow their view of reality to be stretched too far. It causes too much insecurity to contemplate that if there are actually UFOs in our skies that it is also a very short leap to consider the possibility that they may be making special contact with certain humans for reasons not fully understood. It's far easier on people to draw the line at some point and just label those whose experiences go beyond the comfort zone as "kooks"
