***FYI. THIS IS A FAN FILM!!! I MADE THIS, NOT HOLLYWOOD.***

Set in 1957, we meet a young Mrs.Voorhees who, on the day of her son's birthday, learns that he drowned in Crystal Lake at the hands of some very mean children and several negligent counselors. One year later, an enraged Mrs. Voorhees hunts down her first victim to have her revenge for the demise of her son.... Jason.

A WORD FROM CHRIS

"Voorhees" was shot over 2 days with a combined time of 3 hours. The first day was the breaking of the bad news to Pamela on Jason's birthday. We did that in the park in less than 40 minutes. The rest of the movie was filmed nearly 2 weeks later at Echo Lake Park in Mountainside New Jersey.

After learning from my previous experiences, I took the liberty of getting a permit, ahead of time so I was able to film in peace and not be rushed. We filmed on the docks of a canoe rental hut right in the middle of the park from 6pm-7:45pm. It was quiet for the most part, somewhat cloudy and pretty serene.

My goal with this short was to show Pamela's first kill. Yes she kills the councilors in '58 in the first movie, but I thought it might be cool to expand on that. There was so much more that could've been done with that setup rather than a silent kill. So yeah, I dug into that and tried to justify Pam's disposition as well as show the development of her split personality.

  • that chick played pamela TOO well.

  • I've seen a lot of fan films and, in particular, Friday the 13th fan films. This is easily one of the best films I've seen. A great idea and well executed. Nice job!

  • I think every camp counciler should watch this. So this doesn't happen.

  • @fwwaller you hit the nail on the head dude. its all about the inner conflict. its a character piece, not a body count movie. we already had the chase, now we see pam about to cross THAT line. once she crosses it, she becomes what we see in the 1980 movie. this film is about that crossing.

  • @Zeolahn .....same debauchery and decadence that jason had drowned to death over. I'm not trying to argue with you dude, I respect your opinion and all, but your argument has some flaws in it, nothing more.

  • @Zeolahn "a girl she desparately wants to murder" that's not her decision, that's Jason's because she hears jason talking inside of her head. besides, didn't blinky say in the description that this was her FIRST kill? meaning that she had some inner conflict going on, but when she invoked jason, that was basically jason saying in her head that he wants her to avenge his death, by killing all who are responsible, and to take vengeance on all who come there to participate in the...

  • @fwwaller She isn't "taking a while" though, she's spending 7 minutes talking to a girl she desperately wants to murder. And the girl is just hanging out talking to Pamela in return. It's not interesting and makes no sense for not only the character of Pamela, but for how people kill. Blinky has made some great stuff, some GREAT stuff, this isn't one of the good ones though.

  • @Zeolahn uhhh, dude, your points are completely invalid. This is in the 50's, when pam voorhees JUST started to kill teenagers at camp crystal lake. She said to katherine "one year ago today, when you let him drown". the first movie was in the 80's, she had been killing horny, stoner teenagers in crystal lake for 20 years, so of course in the first movie, she would have a nice, planned out way of murdering the teens. she's talking for a while because here she's only been doing it for a year..

  • Holy living fuck! Best film of all time. The acting and directing were so good! I wish this could be mainstream. And I have to give it up for Monica Dinatale. She did an outstanding job with her character. All around a very good film. 4.8 out of 5!
